Joe Beer is a well know face in British skiing.
- BASI Alpine L4 (since 1992)
- BASI Telemark L3 (since 2001)
- More than 30 seasons teaching worldwide
- Instructing in Les Gets/Morzine/Avoriaz since 2000
- Started ALC 2003
- Author of a new book
Represented GB/UK, BASI, Soldeu El Tarter and Daily Mail Demo teams at various events Including; Interski Congress, 1995 Japan and 2011 Austria. Numerous London and Birmingham ski shows (from 1987). Coach and Captain of winning combined teams (ski/snowboard/telemark) at “The Battle of the ski schools” World Championships, Vail Colorado 1999 and 2000.

His latest project is writing a book; Free the Heel, Free the Mind – Fix the Heel, Fix the Problem! The Musings of a Cockney Ski Instructor. The book is the result of him being asked to write down his teaching philosophies and methods by many of his students over the years and is full of Tips, Drills and Skills for Telemark and Alpine performance, whatever your level.
