It’s never easy writing our blog at this time of year, with the whole of the summer stretching ahead of us in Blighty, ski school in Les Gets seems a million miles away. It’s never far from our minds either though, now is a time for reflecting on how we can make the next season better, not just for us but for our clients too.
Between them our small but perfectly formed team of instructors offer a broad selection of skills to choose from: Joe offers lessons in ski & telemark, Ed now offers lessons in ski, telemark & snowboard and Andi McCann brings his unique knowledge of ski equipment, set-up and balance alignment.
For next season, Alpine Learning Curves are currently putting together a junior race programme tailored to the requirements of some of the more advanced junior skiers who regularly attend lessons with the boys. If this is a success it may well mushroom into a more open door programme for youngsters keen to experience a week working on their performance in gates.
Meanwhile, over the last few summers Joe has been steadily drafting a technical skiing manual, mainly for his own amusement but with the hope of seeing it in print one day. It may not so much fun as laying freshies on a powder day, but a good way to keep him on the ball when going skiing isn’t an option!
As for the office, we won’t be taking bookings for quite some time yet but I will endeavour to respond to any email questions about our service between now and the autumn, when the normal booking service will resume.
