The Swiss way...

Just cover in Apple juice. Cover and leave overnight. Add yoghurt, fresh fruit and seeds in the morning.

Hi Tessa
I don't teach any more, I'm just the back room bod but I know what you mean. The boys are all pretty metro sexual (even Joe, well for his age) they have a couple of top chicks keeping them in line (Maho & Lesley).
I used to love teaching the Ladies' Days when we worked at Treble Cone, they were so popular we ran out of female instructors so Joe had to be 'Josephine' for the day!! Bx

I hope Babs is part of the winter teaching team. Having been to many all women ski 'clinics' in my time I appreciate the value of women teaching women. We understand and sympathize more with each other, the pressure is taken off.

Is it hard plastic, like a credit card? If so additional uses include - testing the layers of snow after digging an avalanche pit; scraping skis after hotwaxing them and scraping ice off your windscreen (especially good for INSIDE windows of car! Have a wonderful winter you guys.

When I read 'porridge' I thought someone had done 'time' over the summer! Glad to know that you have kept Joe under control and even making the breakfast perhaps... Over here in the US it is always served with brown sugar and raisins, neither of which do I take. I make mine with soy milk, salt AND Splenda - splendid. If I have time I will make the McCann's steel cut in a double saucepan, ideally steeped overnight. Quick oats make a good addition to yogurt, again an overnight job. Over here they also have cream of wheat and a corn-based hot cereal, not to mention 'grits' - a Southern breakfast grain. I went to boarding school where the podge was really lumpy so I have aquired a taste for it. Benson (AKA Jon Hedges) specially made me lumpy stuff when he was a chalet boy!

Having skied Telemark, the only real way to ski, with Joe for many years now I can thoroughly recommend the value of taking time out to have a lesson with the ALC team. For any friends of mine who head to the magnificent ski area of Les Gets I tell to look out for Joe and his team. Keep it smooth and go with the flow!

After spending time with Joe and his other instructors, mainly working on all the bad habits that work their way into your skiing over the years, the clarity of instruction and explanation made the experiance of working with them not just helpful but a totally enjoyable experiance that I will be using again and again. A couple of hours spent with them made the rest of the holiday a fantastic one.
